Aleister Black Reveals Triple H's Initial Hesitation on Zelina Vega Pairing

​Aleister Black recently shed light on the initial reluctance from Triple H regarding the idea of pairing Black with Zelina Vega on-screen.

​Speaking about the origins of the successful alliance, Black noted that when the conversation first came up, "The Game" wasn't immediately on board with the concept.

​Black, however, believes that the proven track record of other real-life or storyline couples in wrestling ultimately shifted Triple H's perspective. Black specifically cited the success of two high-profile wrestling duos:

• ​CM Punk & AJ Lee

• ​Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch

​According to Black, the strong reactions and fan engagement these pairings generated made Triple H reconsider.

​"When I got back, the conversation arose again and initially (Triple H) was not really into it. But I think that with the success of AJ and CM Punk, and Seth and Becky, I think that he kinda went like, you know what, this might actually really, really work."

​The eventual pairing of Black and Vega in NXT became a defining part of Black's early main roster tenure, showcasing Zelina Vega's managerial skills while adding a complex layer to Aleister Black's mysterious persona.
