Kota Ibushi: Is he secretly a member of the X-Men?

ree

It’s a tough break for wrestling fans and certainly for the "Golden Star" himself, Kota Ibushi. During a recent taped AEW Collision event, Ibushi suffered a devastating broken femur. The injury required immediate surgery, and Ibushi himself has provided a candid update on his recovery timeline. In a social media post, he shared his current assessment:

"One year to fully recover. Two years until I can step into the ring again." He followed this with an optimistic, almost defiant, declaration about his own recuperative powers, proclaiming, "I believe in myself more than the doctors. I absolutely don’t believe in that. I know I have amazing DNA that gives me the ability to heal!!"

This bold statement about his "amazing DNA" inevitably sparks a bit of nerdy speculation. We know individual genetics play a crucial role in healing, with some rare mutations even accelerating the process, possibly linked to genes involved in pain blocking or DNA repair like BRCA1. It makes one wonder, with his almost superhuman optimism and belief in his own body's regenerative capabilities, is Kota Ibushi secretly channeling some mutant powers? Perhaps he's more like Wolverine than we realized, with a healing factor that transcends mere biology. While the doctors may be cautious, Ibushi's confidence is truly inspiring. We're all wishing him a swift and complete recovery, hoping he'll be back in the squared circle, defying expectations and maybe even the laws of conventional healing, sooner rather than later.
