Shockwaves on Raw: Rollins Stripped, New Tag Champs, and Jey Uso Earns Title Shot!

ree

Monday Night Raw was an explosive night with major fallout from recent events, headlined by the tragic news regarding the World Heavyweight Championship and a shocking turn of events in the main event.

World Title Vacated and Main Event Mayhem

The show kicked off with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce delivering grim news: due to the shoulder injury suffered from the brutal attack by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed last week, Seth Rollins has been stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship.

The trio of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman appeared, with Heyman declaring that Rollins "couldn't shoulder the responsibility" of the title.

To fill the void, Pearce immediately announced a massive Battle Royal for the main event to determine who will face CM Punk for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship at the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event premium live event.

In a surprising conclusion to the night, Jey Uso emerged victorious in the Battle Royal, last eliminating his own brother, Jimmy Uso, and then Dominik Mysterio, earning him the opportunity to challenge CM Punk for the championship.

Championship Changes and Controversies

Raw also saw a title switch and a couple of controversial finishes:

• New Tag Team Champions: The Judgment Day's reign as World Tag Team Champions came to an end when AJ Styles and Dragon Lee defeated Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to capture the titles. The team of Styles and Lee finally broke through to claim the gold.

• Dominik Mysterio Retains: In his Men's Intercontinental Championship defense against Rusev, "Dirty Dom" lived up to his nickname by retaining the title. Mysterio used a low blow to secure the pinfall victory, continuing his controversial championship reign. The drama didn't end there, as Penta immediately got involved in a brawl with the champ after the match.

• Becky Lynch Disqualified: The Women's Intercontinental Championship match between Becky Lynch and Maxxine Dupri ended abruptly in a disqualification after Lynch used the title belt as a weapon on her challenger, showcasing a more aggressive and unstable side of "The Man."

With a new challenger for the World Heavyweight Title set and new tag team champions crowned, this edition of Raw has dramatically shifted the landscape as the brand charges toward Saturday Night's Main Event.
