In news that proves the physical risks of being "Mami" are very real, WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley suffered a legitimate broken nose during the non-televised WWE SuperShow in Tokyo, Japan, on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
The incident, which resulted in immediate bleeding and swelling, was confirmed to be a legitimate nasal fracture. But don't blame the opponent. This was an unfortunate, chaotic spot involving accidental "friendly fire." According to those in attendance, the injury occurred when rival Raquel Rodriguez forcefully threw IYO SKY, Ripley's temporary partner, directly into Ripley, who was outside the ring trying to brace for impact.
Rodriguez can now claim she’s so dominant, she can even hurt Rhea Ripley when she’s trying to injure someone else.
Ripley was escorted out by medical staff, but because she is "The Nightmare," she showed up later for a post-show tribute for AJ Styles.
The best part? Ripley immediately addressed the injury with her signature dark humor, posting a photo of her swollen nose on social media and jokingly comparing her new, bruised look to that of her dog.
The prognosis for her return is surprisingly quick, thanks to modern sports medicine—and WWE’s reliance on her star power. She is widely expected to return soon, possibly within a few weeks, wearing a customized facial protection mask. So, get ready for Mami Mask 2.0 to dominate Monday Night Raw once again.
