Theory Shares When He Found Out He Was Facing Brock Lesnar At MSG Earlier This Year

On March 5, WWE booked then-WWE Champion Brock Lesnar against a mystery opponent at a live event from Madison Square Garden.

Theory ended up being his opponent and was quickly defeated by the top WWE star.

Theory revealed while speaking with Fightful that things were kept secretive and close to the chest even leading up to the match backstage. He only found out that he was facing Lesnar midway through the show, about an hour before the match happened. He said that there was “Brock Lesnar vs. —-” on the card listed in the back.

Theory lost the United States Title to Bobby Lashley before winning the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match this past Saturday night. Theory will have a rematch against Lashley for the title at SummerSlam later this month.
