All Elite Wrestling (AEW) CEO and President Tony Khan has put the wrestling world on notice, stating he is "very interested" in expanding the company's live event footprint beyond the United Kingdom and into more territories across Europe.
In an interview with amNewYork, Khan highlighted the significant success AEW has already found across the pond, particularly with its history-making shows in the UK.
"I’m very interested in taking AEW and visiting more of Europe. I think there are more opportunities there," Khan told the publication.
Khan specifically pointed to the promotion's achievements in Britain, which include:
• Setting records at the annual All In event at London’s Wembley Stadium.
• Holding "great events" in Cardiff, Wales.
• The upcoming debut in Manchester, England, later this year.
"I think there’s more opportunities there internationally, for AEW…I think that’s very attractive, just international expansion," Khan concluded, reinforcing the company's clear focus on global growth following recent successful ventures overseas.
While the UK has served as AEW's primary international testing ground, Khan's comments suggest fans across the European continent can expect to see the company exploring new markets and holding more events in the near future.
