Tony Khan Blown Away by Darby Allin's Post-Everest Return: 'From a 10 to an 11 in Selflessness'

AEW President Tony Khan recently opened up about Darby Allin's return from his mountaineering adventure, stating that the daredevil wrestler came back an even better, more selfless person than before.

Allin, who took time away from the ring earlier this year to climb Mount Everest, made his in-ring comeback after a challenging journey. While Darby's talent has never been in question, Khan’s comments focus less on in-ring ability and more on his character following the monumental trip.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio,

Khan revealed his shock at Allin’s elevated attitude. "I have always thought Darby was the ultimate team player before he left," Khan said. "And then the first time I saw him when he had come down from the mountain, it was like the greatest team player—it was like he went from being a 10 to an 11 when it came to selflessness."

The AEW President emphasized that Allin, already known for his unique connection with fans and colleagues, returned "so centered and focused" and "even more considerate of how he could help AEW and the people around him."

Khan concluded by expressing that he was "blown away" by the transformation, cementing Allin's reputation backstage not just as a fearless competitor, but as a crucial, selfless locker-room leader dedicated to the company's success. With this renewed focus, fans are eager to see what Darby Allin's next chapter in AEW will look like.
