After reports that Brock Lesnar walked out Friday afternoon prior to the evening SmackDown taping in Boston, Lesnar did ultimately appear at the end of the broadcast, attacking Austin Theory.
A new report from Fightful Select corroborates Bryan Alvarez's initial report that Lesnar did indeed walk out of the taping upon learning of Vince McMahon's retirement, going so far as to leave the building. WWE went on to pull Lesnar from their advertising, as they weren't sure he would make his scheduled appearance.
Fightful's report goes on to say that, "... things blew over, and Lesnar returned."
However, the evening's script was apparently re-written, with Lesnar not figured in due to his walkout. The last segment (involving Theory) was, "... left in a way that Lesnar could be included", should his walkout be resolved in a timely-enough manner.
Lesnar is scheduled to wrestle Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE title at next Saturday night's SummerSlam in a Last Man Standing match. It will be Lesnar's first match since losing the WWE title to Reigns at WrestleMania 38 in April.
