As of Saturday, September 25th {before its deal with the streaming service for next-day rights for Raw & SmackDown is set to expire} .members of the WWE Universe will have to look elsewhere for streaming WWE content.
The deal currently sees the aforementioned, plus NXT, Main Event, Total Divas, Total Bellas, and other programming featured on the streaming platform. Nearly all the Federation's content on Hulu has a 'Exp. Sat' flag.
According to a report by PWInsider, talks between the two sides are ongoing as they attempt to negotiate a new deal.
Hulu, which has approximately 46,000,000 subscribers, is primarily owned by Disney (67%), with NBCUniversal owning the remaining stake.
NBCU has been a long partner of WWE and currently pays for the TV rights to air Monday Night Raw and WWE NXT on the USA Network, while WWE has been working with Hulu for ten years.
Co-CEO Nick Khan has spoken about several aspects of WWE’s programming rights in the past, one of which is the second-day rights for its flagship shows - Raw and SmackDown.
