WWE Confiscates 'Paige Come Home' Fan Sign During SmackDown Broadcast
The "Bring Paige Home" movement just hit a roadblock, but the message is louder than ever.
During last night’s broadcast of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE security was spotted confiscating a fan-made sign that simply read, “Paige Come Home.”
The incident, which occurred off-camera but was widely reported by fans in attendance, once again highlights the highly restrictive nature of WWE’s fan sign policy—especially when it comes to free agents or talent working with competing promotions.
The confiscated sign is a direct reference to Saraya, formerly known as Paige in WWE, who recently became one of the biggest free agents in wrestling after her departure from All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Since her exit, speculation has been rampant that she might return to the company where she was a two-time Divas Champion and the inaugural NXT Women's Champion.
While the "Paige Come Home" sign is primarily seen as a harmless fan request, the immediate action taken by WWE staff suggests a heightened sensitivity around her name. WWE typically discourages signs that mention non-contracted talent, especially if they are heavily rumored for a return or are associated with rival companies.
The move, intentional or not, will only add more fuel to the already blazing fire of rumors connecting Saraya with a potential return to Triple H’s creative fold. For now, the sentiment of the WWE Universe is clear: they want to see the "Anti-Diva" back in WWE, even if the company doesn't want the message displayed on television.
