Jordynne Grace sent out a tweet yesterday, that may upset some fans of Chris Benoit... while many others will agree with her.
A fan on Twitter talked about wrestlers who talk about the Rabid Wolverine in a professional context while "excusing what happened", before praising what he did in the ring.
The Impact Wrestling Knockouts champion isn't among those wrestlers who will praise the late wrestler. In fact, she feels that he wouldn't be able to hang with the current wrestlers.
"This is gonna be the coldest take I ever tweet on this app. I already know y’all gonna be mad.
I don’t think Benoit could 100% hang with most of the present day best wrestlers. He would not be able to remember matches.
"Also may he burn in hell, amen."
Grace continued in a follow-up tweet: "Proving a point: I said something very lightly critical about him. People jump to defend him. He should NEVER be defended. Dude lost that right when he gave his 7 year old Xanax and strangled him while he was already unconscious."
It will be interesting to hear what wrestlers think of this tweet. While many will agree, you can bet that some (especially Chris' friends) would have their rebuttal.
Last week was the 15th year anniversary of the murder-suicide, considered to be 1 of the darkest days in the history of pro wrestling. Chris Benoit killed himself, after murdering his wife Nancy & son Daniel in 2007.
